Key Responsibilities:
This position involves working on a rota basis, allowing you to gain well-rounded experience across various aspects of the clinic:
- Nurse Consultations: Conduct consults and build relationships with clients and their pets
- Surgical Assistance: Assist veterinarians in both routine and more complex procedures
- Patient Monitoring & Care: Provide pre- and post-operative care with a compassionate approach
- Medication & Treatment Administration: Safely administer prescribed treatments and medications
- Routine Diagnostics: Conduct tests like blood sampling, urinalysis, and radiography
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records using our practice software
- Client Education: Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and follow-up treatments
- Clinic Upkeep: Contribute to a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for clients and their pets
About the Role:
- Schedule: Full-time, worked over 4-5 days. Saturday shifts are on a rota basis; no Sundays or on-call requirements.
- Float Nurse Flexibility: In addition to consults and surgeries, you’ll work as a float nurse, stepping into various roles and tasks as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
